The client is a leading American technology provider that offers products and services on energy and water resource management.
With several disparate processes and site-specific product management applications in place, the client was struggling to uniformly visualize and manage product data across the enterprise. The diverse and make-to-order nature of the business built through acquisitions resulted into complex localized rules to manage product information. The client needed ability to collaborate with their customers in creation of Product Information.
The client selected Oracle Product Data Hub/Master Data Management and chose Trinamix as their implementation partner. Trinamix is also in the process of implementing Oracle Supply Planning Cloud, Oracle Global Order Promising Cloud and Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud.
Key Solution Highlights
This project was the first step of the client’s multi-release journey towards cloud adoption. Following were some of the key highlights:
- Global rollout of MDM/PDH and it will be used by 500+ users in more than 100 countries
- MDM system which supports item classifications, governance and synchronization of master data across ERP
- Seamless integrations with 4 additional MDM/PLM applications including Agile and Oracle EBS
- Near real-time integration using Rest APIs / FBDIs and batch processing using import maps
- Bi-directional integration with EBS and Oracle PDH
- Use of productivity and accuracy features such as predefined templates, item validation rules and mass updates
- Application security by providing user access based on geography
- Multi-language support for various languages including Japanese, Chinese, French, German etc.
