The customer is a global media and technology company with three primary businesses. They are one of the United States’ largest video, high-speed internet, and phone providers under the Xfinity brand.Â
The customer identified the need for a centralized master data repository to act as a single source of truth for all item master data. The goal was to establish a simple and robust item creation process using native PDH capabilities and to automate item publishing to downstream systems, ensuring all lines of business have access to the most updated item attributes.

In addition, the initiative aimed to support and monitor change management and auditing processes while maintaining accurate master data to ensure high-quality input to ERP (CIFA) and legacy applications (EIS, PTDB) that support key business processes. The project also focused on retrofitting PDH and MDM processes in alignment with the upcoming cloud rollout and replacing custom processes by leveraging native PDH functionality.

As a result, the organization achieved a significant reduction in the new item creation process, enhanced supply chain efficiency, and reduced new item approval and enrichment time.
